Q: What made you decide that it was time to take action and be proactive about your health?

A: I would say I’m pretty proactive about my health. I had an appointment scheduled to meet with a neurologist, but it was a long wait until then. When I found out about Within Health, I was excited at the opportunity to take my health back into my own hands and get testing done so that I could get answers to the problems I was having.

Q: What scan did you consider and why?

A: I went with the brain scan because that was part of my health concerns. I felt it could provide answers and help me decide what was next and how to get to bottom of my symptoms. 

Q: Why did you choose to get your preventive screen from Within Health?

A: I didn't know there were other options for getting scans. I thought it could only be done by seeing a doctor who ordered it. The thought had occurred to me that the neurologist might not think it was necessary or recommend a scan, which is why I went ahead and did it myself so that I could get answers.

Q: How did you feel before getting the scan?

A: I was nervous before the scan. I’d never had one before and I was anxious about the results.

Q: What was the experience like from start to finish? (virtual consultation, facility, staff, scan itself, etc.)

A: The experience was seamless and efficient. Everything was completed within three days⎯the consultation, securing an appointment, getting the scan⎯and the results were timely as well.

Q: How do you feel now?

A: I feel relieved after getting a good report.

Q: What is one piece of advice you would give to someone who wants to do more for their health?

A: Stay on it. Call multiple doctors until you get an earlier appointment or are able to find someone in-network. Get multiple opinions and trust your gut.

A: My family has a history of cancer. Given this history, my family believes in preventive care, which includes preventive health screening. Preventive care is important for me because it helps me stay healthy and access prompt treatment when necessary.

A: I chose to have a full-body scan from head-to-toe in order to find cancers, inflammation, or obstruction processes in my body.
